Way of The Spatula was originally a way for me to get my foodie-related posts out of my personal journal and into a separate, searchable place. I got tired of having to dig through all my non-culinary posts to go find that one quiche recipe that, really, I should have already committed to memory since I do it so frickin’ often (but obviously haven’t). And in the process I figured, meh, why not just make a food blog? I’m a bit of a foodie, right? I read up on other people’s foodie stuff, so, hell, why not do one of my own?

And so I have.

But because I’m a glutton for punishment when it comes to personal projects, I’ve decided to blow it up a bit bigger than from its original intent. Now, I want Way of The Spatula to become a place for a variety of things related to food fandom, where fanatics like myself can post articles about, well, food (I’m seriously going to need to look up some synonyms for that word sooner rather than later) and where others can join in on the sheer dorkery of cooking and eating and sharing as well.

So, that means recipes, obviously, but also, techniques, experiments, discussions, photography, product reviews, news articles (and not just about nutrition), and other fun and random stuff celebrating this the friendlier of the four-lettered words. And like it says in the inaugural post, this should be a fun ride. Any why not?
